Leorad Joins Animati

September 11, 2026

Toronto, Canada | Santa Maria, Brazil
Arcadea continues growing in Brazil: Through the acquisition of Leorad, we are strengthening our business Animati PACS, one of Brazil's main software providers for diagnostic imaging. Leorad is adding sophisticated functionalities to generate radiological reports with AI.
Founded by radiologists, Leorad developed a structured reporting platform that combines language models, voice transcription, and terminology standardization to reduce report production time and increase consistency. The company has built a reputation within the Brazilian radiology community for its close connection to real-world clinical practice.
Leorad will continue serving its current customers with the same team and support channels. The founders remain at the forefront of operations and product direction. Over the next few months, Animati customers will have easier access to Leorad solutions, and Leorad customers will benefit from Animati's support, implementation, and integration infrastructure.
This acquisition connects to Animati's broader movement to expand its role: from a provider of RIS/PACS solutions to an orchestrator of the complete workflow, from scheduled exams to signed and delivered reports, with artificial intelligence operating within the process, and not as an isolated resource.
Jean Carlo Albiero Berni, CEO of Animati, shared the following: “The report is the heart of the radiologist's work and the point where volume pressure hurts the most today. Leorad solved this pain with a quality that only a product made by radiologists can achieve. Our role now is to give this technology the scale it deserves — and to do so without interrupting anything that already works well for the clients of both companies.”
Otto Wolf Maciel, Co-Founder of Leorad, added: “We built Leorad to solve a problem we experienced firsthand. We always knew that the next step would require distribution, support, and engineering capabilities on a whole new scale. In Animati, we found a partner who understands the market with the same depth and who preserves what brought us this far: the direct relationship with the radiologist.”
Daniel Eisen, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Arcadea Group, shared the wider perspective: “This acquisition demonstrates our commitment to sustaining Animati’s position as a leader in the radiology market. The combination of these two innovative companies will generate extraordinary value for our radiology clients, and we are excited to support further investments in the Animati platform in the coming years.”

Sofis Announces Appointment of Rafael Fraga as CEO

August 26, 2026

Toronto, Canada | Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Sofis, a Brazilian healthcare software provider specializing in hemotherapy and cell therapy solutions, announced the appointment of Rafael Fraga as incoming Chief Executive Officer. Arcadea Group acquired a majority stake in Sofis earlier in 2026. Fraga joins founder Reynaldo Mendes, who will stay on in a leadership role with the business and transfer full responsibilities to Fraga over the coming months.
Fraga is an experienced software executive who spent more than a decade in leadership roles at TOTVS, Latin America's largest enterprise software company. Most recently, as Executive Manager of Products and Business, he held full P&L responsibility for a business unit spanning product strategy, engineering, and commercial operations. Across his tenure he led the launch of TOTVS’s first cloud-native ERP, directed the migration of its customer base from on-premise to SaaS, and drove the cloud modernization of multiple product lines.
Reynaldo Mendes commented: “Rafael is the right leader for Sofis’s next chapter, and he has my full support. We are committed to an orderly transition that protects our customers and our team, and I will remain closely involved as a strategic advisor to the business for several years after it is complete. After four decades building this company, it means a great deal to know it is in good hands.”
Daniel Eisen, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Arcadea Group, stated: “We have full confidence in Rafael to execute on our vision for Sofis and to extend the company’s prominent role in the hemotherapy and cell therapy markets in Brazil. Rafael is a proven leader with a track record of success leading high-quality software businesses in Brazil. We have aligned all of Arcadea’s resources to work alongside Rafael and Reynaldo to ensure a successful transition and long-term success for Sofis’s customers and employees.”
Rafael Fraga remarked: “Sofis is built on a remarkable foundation — products that hospitals and blood centers across Brazil depend on every day, and a reputation earned over decades. I am excited to build on that foundation and, in partnership with Arcadea, position Sofis for long-term success.”
